Kim Fasolo-LoMonaco received the 2001 Tribute to Women and Industry Award, the YWCA's annual recognition of select women for their outstanding accomplishments in the workplace. Kim earned her M.A. from Columbia University, and is a district sales manager with Verizon Information Services. Her key positions have included product management, sales and promotion.

Kathy Corbett Brooks and Tim Brooks are spending a year in Hamburg, Germany. Tim received a fellowship from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation to research the structure of German city-states. Kathy and Tim will be accompanied by their daughters, Delaney (7) and Jenna (4), who will attend German schools. Kathy will be taking a break from teaching to learn German herself.

Stephen Hochman was named VP of product marketing and new business development for Supply Chainge, a provider of supply chain management solutions. Steve was previously a founder of retailer lucy.com, and a senior product manager with Intel. He received his M.B.A. from Stanford, and worked as a strategy consultant at Bain & Co. Ken Barrett sees Steve regularly when they run the annual Hood to Coast relay race in Portland, Oregon. Ken is still childless and unmarried.

Matthew Lansburgh was promoted to senior counsel at Sony Music Entertainment. His reresponsibilities include rendering legal advice and drafting recording and publishing agreements. Matthew had served as counsel for Sony Music Entertainment since 1999, and was previously a corporate associate for New York-based law firm Simpson,Thatcher & Bartlett. He earned his J.D. at Stanford.

"Think Joel Fleischman in Northern Exposure," said Dr. Micah Rosenfield to the Newport, New Hampshire, Argus-Champion in an interview last summer. Micah is medical director of the Pediatric Life-Cycle with Terry Reilly Health Services in Nampa, Idaho. Micah attended medical school at the University of Pennsylvania with a scholarship from the U.S. Public Health Service; in exchange, Micah will work an equivalent number of years in an under-served area. Micah's patients are migrant farm workers and underinsured local residents. He performs about 70 deliveries a year and oversees the clinic's immunization program. He lives in Utah with his wife, Kirstie, and son, Asa (2).

Desiree Dawn Earl and Kip Soteres were married last July at the National Hotel in Miami Beach, Florida, by Matt Drury. Kip is a writer who received his master of fine arts from Washington University in St. Louis; Desiree is a classical singer. They will reside in San Jose, California.

Kristin Snow was introduced to Fred Jones by Caroline Fisher; they married three years later, last May. Carries daughter Tess (6) was flower girl, and son Peter (3) was ring bearer. Other '88s in attendance were Jim Van Verth, with his wife, Mur Lafferty; Shannon Sweeney, with her fiance, Irvin Orlandini; and Tim Mitchell, whose wife, Elizabeth, couldn't attend because their daughter, Rosamund, was sick. Fred (who hiked New Mexico's Sangre de Cristo mountains with me 20 years ago) is an ER physician at Boston Medical Center, and Kristin is head of the biostatistics department at a small biotech firm in Watertown. They live in Somerville, Massachusetts.

Laura Weylman has lived in Walton, New York, since completing her residency in Tacoma in 1999. Laura and her husband, David Turner, are family doctors practicing in very small towns. Laura works part-time and spends the rest of her time with their daughter, Lauren (3), and son, Benjamin (1). Laura has been in touch with Julia Mairs, Beth Burnside, Barbara Morisseau, Robin Kass and Tory Woodin Chavey. Beth and Tory have 1-year-old sons; Barbara and Robin each have two girls and all are trying to balance work and family. As Laura says, its a challenge!
