An update from Nita Farahany, at Duke Law School in Durham, North Carolina, along with fellow '98s Dan O'Neill (second year), Meghan Pound (third year) and Greg Walsh (first year). Nita is finishing her first year in a combined degree program in interdisciplinary genomics. After three years in Boston working at Monitor Co., she left to start at Duke Law last summer. Now engaged over a year, she plans to marry Rick McFarland, a colleague from Monitor, in September in Charlotte, North Carolina. Kelley Sidley, Gareth Schweizer and Meghan Pound will be following Nita down the aisle as her bridesmaids on the big day.

Arika Easley also left Boston after working there for two years with Kaplan Educational Centers and a non-profit organization, for grad school at Columbia. She finished her master's degree in African-American studies in May 2001 and then started working at NYU's Office for African-American, Latino, and Asian-American Student Services as the program administrator. "I think about Dartmouth a lot—especially when counseling undergraduates about how to maximize their resources, although it's quite different here—I mean Greenwich Village has more than just an EBAs, Gap and Jewel of India!

Along update from Shephathiah Gordon. After graduating, Shephathiah was banquet captain at Morton's of Chicago and then took a job as a personal assistant to Sir John and Lady Tavener in England— who could turn down a job working for a knight!" And now she works at Artisanal, a French restaurant in N.Y.C. that offers more than 200 cheeses in addition to a wonderful menu. When she took the job at Artisanal in October "it never occurred to me that it would bring me back into contact with so many Dartmouth alumni! I was walking past a table the other day and, glancing down, saw the last issue of DAM on a table. There were three alums sitting there, alas, none from our class. Abby Doolittle has come in twice and since our first meeting has become engaged." Apparently, the second time Abby visited she was with a number of alums including Kate Knaus and Kirby Cook, who was on her way to Italy to visit Sylvie Hogg. Sylvie has been in Italy since graduation, working in Rome as a tour guide. Arvidas Remeza has been by with his parents. David Mace and John Seni have both been spotted with their girlfriends.

Sylvie Hogg was back in N.Y.C. recently and joined Shephathiah for her birthday celebration along with Alexa Burneikis and Zaira Zafra. Alexa has worked at several high-profile places since graduation, including Sotheby's and Conde Nast. She's currently helping promote a salsa band. Zaira was one of the lucky ones on 9/11. She was just getting out of a train in Tower 2 as the plane hit Tower 1. She recently moved into a new place and among her house warming guests were a number of alums, including Jessica Lacson and Andrea Arata. Andrea has been taking her post-baccalaureate classes at Hunter and plans to go to med school. Right now she's been toiling for an opthalmologist and assisting during surgeries.

Tidbits: Baxter Wasson was just admitted to the New York State bar this spring after passing the bar exam last November, six months after graduating from Harvard Law School. Jennifer Molinar married David Scott, a fellow student at University of Chicago Law School, last December in Chicago, where the happy couple will continue to reside. Molli Hammermesh is engaged and planning an August wedding. Kelley Sidley is engaged to Adam Wallowick '96 and planning an October wedding in N.Y.C. Katie Kenney is starting soon at NYU's Stern School of Business.
