As part of a surprise weekend for Kacey Perkins, Will Coyne and Lauren Tulp traveled from Santa Barbara, California, to visit Kacey and Veej Tift in New Orleans in November. Will and Lauren were the decoys for the surprise operation, as Dana Loebman, Leigh Johnson, Lindsay Bowen, Allison Taff, Melissa Roth, Liza Cowan, and Thalia Margalit '01 hid in the bathroom at the House of Blues and burst out to surprise Kacey with a poem written by Dana. Ashley Jones traveled from Denver and added to the surprise later that night. The weekend was fun-filled with oysters and music and Krispy Kreme doughnuts. Phoebe, the black lab, was happy to see all her old friends.

After two fun-filled years living and work ing in Boston, Christen Einsiedler moved to Oklahoma in August to start graduate studies in computer science, specializing in security. I just finished my first semester in a master s program at the University of Tulsa. I'm really enjoying the school work and the people here, although it is strange for me to be so far away from the coast and in the 'buckle of the Bible belt.' If anyone is ever passing through Oklahoma, please drop a line. I miss the random Dartmouth run-ins I used to have in Boston! I will be moving to the D.C. area this summer for an internship, and I'm definitely looking forward to that."

Ben Berk writes: "Emily and I have left both our jobs in Boston (bidding a temporary farewell to Jonathan Waldman, who is at BUs school of journalism) and are headed to Costa Rica for a couple of months to help set up the site for a clinic at a rural school near San Jose (in anticipation of the arrival of a group from Dartmouth's 'alternative spring break,' led by Amish Parashar '03, in March) and to teach English. Our wedding is in St. Louis in May, and we'll be moving 'somewhere' in the country for medical school and other such endeavors over the summer!"

Alice Kessler is currently finishing up her J.D. at the University of California, Davis, School of Law. She graduates in May and then will begin studying for the bar. After that she plans to move to the San Francisco Bay Area.

After returning from the Peace Corps in July, Annie Kneedler moved, back to Washington, D.C., and is now working for Chemonics International, an international consulting firm that does development work in Africa. She works on various projects in East and South Africa and is slowly getting used to the United States again.

After an amazing summer leading 12 kids on a bike trip cross-country, Lauren Scopaz landed back in the Boston area in August. "I started work at The Bridgespan Group, a non-profit consulting organization, which has been very busy, but the work is really interesting and the people, which include Alex Neuhoff and Kathryn Cahill, are great. This fall I coached an under-12 girls soccer team in Cambridge, which was more challenging than I thought, but a lot of fun. I'll be keeping busy this winter trying to hit the ski slopes as much as possible and playing on a Boston field hockey team, with fellow '00s Kristen Scopaz and Becky Sangster, which will travel to play teams in N.Y.C., Philadelphia and D.C."

In engagement news, David Chamberlain is engaged to Meredith Glenn, UGA 99. The coupie met in N.Y.C. through some church friends. Congratulations!

Danimal Becker is doing cross-country ski demos for Snowtrax. He'll be driving around New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota and Wisconsin this winter, so anyone wanting to catch up with him in any of those areas should drop him an e-mail.
