Dr. Harvey Mandell has co-edited the book When Doctors Get Sick published by Plenum Publishing Corp. The book reveals the human side of the medical profession, with doctors telling their experiences with other doctors, their trials and tribulations in coping with their own medical crisis, and the effect it has on their families and associates. Each doctor also offers his own candid opinion of the health-care system as perceived by the doctor as patient. Sounds like a most interesting book, Harvey, and one in which a good many of your classmates would be interested. Incidently, Harvey is an internist in Norwich, Conn., who describes himself as "an obscure New England country doctor."
Jack Whitman was good enough to call attention to the "faces in the crowd" mention of Kevin Moats in a late fall issue of Sports Illustrated. Kevin, son of our own BenMoats, finished first among amateurs and eighth overall in the USTS triathlon championships on Hilton Head Island, S.C. He completed the 1.5K swim, 40K bike ride, and 10K run in 1:56:06. Any of you guys or gals wish to try to match that!
