John Pellicone has been appointed medical director at Helen Hayes Hospital in West Haverstraw, New York. After leaving Dartmouth John received his medical degree at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. John joined the staff of Helen Hayes Hospital in 1989 and has served as director of pulmonary rehabilitation and the ventilator-weaning center and serves as an assistant clinical professor of medicine at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. John re- sides with his wife and two sons in New York City.
From the New Brunswick Weekly newspaper, Michael J. Denton has been promoted to vice president at Curtiss-Wright in Lyndhurst, New Jersey. He will continue to serve as general counsel and corporate secretary, positions he has held since he joined the company in August 2001. After Dartmouth Michael earned his J.D. from the University of Michigan.
Faltering drug company Protein Design Labs Inc. announced on November 6 that an executive from a small private San Francisco biotechnology firm would take on the roles of chief executive officer and director. Our classmate, Mark McDade, chairman and CEO at Signature Bioscience Inc., will fill avoid left by the resignation of the former CEO at Protein Design Labs. McDade received an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School after four great years at Dartmouth.
Joseph P. Swain is the musical director for the group Tapestry in Cobleskill, New York. Tapestry's repertoire includes Gregorian chants, madrigals, motets and folk songs John has performed in central New York State as well as in Canada, Spain, Austria, Hungary and the Czech Republic Joseph has been musical director since 1992.
As we mature, life comes into focus. Just ask Christine Morris who has penned an article "D.C. Dropout Finds Dating Data Dismal." Christine moved from Washington, D.C., to Choteau, Montana, last May. Christines article has appeared in two Montana newspapers! According to Christine: "We figured that if we were unable to capitalize as undergraduates at Dartmouth then, when the odds were overwhelmingly in our favor, that now, with the odds against us, our prospects for getting a date might not be so good." Here are Christines Top 10 ways to get a date in Choteau (David Letterman has a ranch in Choteau and is seen occasionally walking the trail):
10. Buy a pickup, put three big shaggy dogs in the back and hang out at local gas station.
9. Call the cable TV guy and upgrade my service to "Expanded Basic."

7. Invite Mormon missionaries in for tea (decaffeinated).
6. Volunteer to be the camp cook during elk hunting season.
5. Contact the networks suggesting an episode of The Bachelor be filmed in a small Montana town.

3. Drive an old, rusty, broken-down tractor in the 4th of July parade.
