Well, folks, it's finally happened. Nothing from any of you, nothing from the clipping service, nothing from the College. Summer has finally arrived in the Upper Valley after a dismal, cold (mostly) non-spring, but I'm not sure that we were quite ready for temperatures in the mid-90s and high humidity arriving overnight. The black flies were as bad as they have been in years with all the damp, cool weather, but they made their scheduled departure on Fathers' Day; mosquitoes are eagerly awaited. Although most of the heavy precipitation slid by to the south of us, at least the drought seems to be over.
