Homecoming was populated with a small but determined band of fanatical '69s, including Bob Cox, who returned to Hanover for the first time since graduation. The rest of the group included the usual suspects. Mike Simon has moved from principal of two small neighborhood schools in Medford, Massachusetts, to the head job at one larger school. Prior to assuming an administrative role, Mike taught for 17 years including time as a Title One director.

In California Fred Ochs is living the dream. He has given up his software consulting job in the north and moved to Hollywood to become an actor. He can be seen in Aamco transmission commercials playing a surgeon. Fred got his start in the Inter-Fraternity Play Contest, showing once again the value of a liberal education.

The StanfordAlumniMagazine made mention of John Slade, who was with us until he transferred out west. Skip has spent most of his time teaching English in Norway, Russia and the Caribbean along with writing. His most recent novel is Bootmaker to the Nation: The Story of the American Revolution. He also has a small publishing company, Woodgate International. Once a member of our class, always...

At our Homecoming class meeting, the discussion mostly was about our upcoming reunion. Right now we are trying to arrange for as many recreational activities as we can. The possibilities include golf, tennis, hiking, white water rafting, wall climbing and use of the baseball batting cage. It was suggested that we include with our literature information about the many and varied arts and crafts shopping opportunities that exist in the Upper Valley. We are open to any other suggestions. Remember:The 35th reunion is from Mondayjune 14, through June 17.

Sadly, Dave Selander informed me of the passing of Tom Keady.
