Look guys, no excuse for not getting together. Pick your spot around the country (two for a dollar!) Here are three upcoming class get-togethers:

First, Steve Waterhouse has organized a special Vail gathering for March 5-7. Here is a summary of what Ever-Enthusiastic Steve has forwarded: "[At] the No. 1 ski area in the world [all the usual activities and skiing plus] one new event will be a joint cocktail party on Saturday afternoon with the newly formed Dartmouth Club of Vail. Folks such as Sandy Treat, class of 1946, will let you know what informal ski racing at the age of 80 is all about! We had nearly 60 folks attend our first Dartmouth Club of Vail event last August, so anticipate a good crowd." Count on the fact that Steve and Linda will ensure there is plenty to do and plenty of good times and classmate gatherings.

Skiing at Americas premier ski resort doesn't do it for you? Or you are looking for something else? How about fly-fishing or golf or battlefield roaming? Or just good food, camaraderie in a lovely laid-back setting? We've locked in an early May off-site at a lovely spot near Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. It looks like Allenberry Resort Inn and Playhouse in Boiling Springs, just eight miles south of Carlisle, Pennsylvania, May 7-9. An easy 60-plus-minute drive from Philadelphia, Baltimore and Washington. Twenty-four rooms have been reserved for us in Meadows Lodge, over- looking the lovely Yellow Britches River, a regional favorite fly-fishing spot. Activities include an 8 p.m. Saturday live-theater play (Smokey Joe'sCafe), golf, tennis, fly-fishing, shopping and touring the nearby Gettysburg Battlefield. For those wanting to spend a full day hiking the battlefield terrain, we have arranged a private tour with a local area specialist. Call Allenberry directly at (717) 258-3211, ask for Leslie and refer to the Dartmouth class of '65 reservation block. Or e-mail her at aberry@epix.net. Rooms will be held until April 7. Cost for two for the entire weekend including the play and all meals is only $289.95 single and $214.95 Per person shared. If you are interested in the Gettysburg all-day walking tour, let me know. I've done it; it's well worth it.

Finally, plan to be on the Hanover Plain in October. Yes, mid-October, not November. Here is what Hank Amon wrote about that: "We agreed to schedule next year's fall mini-reunion in Hanover for October 15-17. This is an experiment that we hope will give a better chance at warmer weather and decent foliage. With a game on October 16, this aspect will be preserved. We will not have the usual parade or the bonfire, but we will organize something for Friday. And we can certainly tailgate before the football game as usual."

Okay, classmates, I'm doing all of this without direct input although many of you correspond with me on a direct chatty basis. SO SEND ME SOME NEWS!
