Mrs. Robert O. Berger responded to my request early this summer. Ann writes from Hanover:

"Several weeks ago I had the pleasure of having Hazel and Ike Weed, Sally and Howard Wriggens and Crosbie MacMillen (Mrs. Robert MacMillen) to my apartment here at Kendal for drinks before dinner. Following the cocktail hour we went to the dining room, after dinner there was a most enjoyable program. Drake Sparkman playing the clarinet and Jerry Noble at the piano; they came up from Turners Fall, Massachusetts, to entertain the Kendall residents. They play early jazz and blues; it is truly a toe-tapping evening. Drake Sparkman is the son of Bob Sparkman; he and Olin Stephens were partners in the yacht and boat design firm of Sparkman & Stephens. Olin Stephens is one of our residents; he is a charming gentleman."

By the time you get this, our 65th reunion will be a happy memory. I hope to have an insiders report for you next issue!

The class sends its condolences to the widows and families of the classmates whose deaths have most recently been reported: April 23, Herbert G. Porter; May 17, Edward "Ned" Everett Banta; May 24, Howard "Hal" Ellsworth Sommer; and July 28, Norman Lazare.
