Our mini-reunion was a success! The only sad note was a heartbreaking football loss to Harvard, 12-13. Including children and other relatives, the class of 1946 marched 47 people at the Friday night parade. Like Abou Ben Adhem (may his tribe increase), we led all the rest. All events went off on schedule. Professor Jere Daniell of the history department spoke to us. Sort of a college history, and his remarks prompted a somewhat lively discussion. At our Saturday dinner lacrosse coach Amy Patton was our speaker. She brought along two of her star players. Lovely young ladies and it was difficult to imagine either of them bashing other young ladies with lacrosse sticks. Women's lacrosse was No.2 in-the United States last year. Here's who was there: Walt Snickenberger and Anne Neilson, Bob and Jackie Kimball, Jud and Grace Hannigan, George and Lois Swick, Ray and Susan Dewees, Marty and Ginnie Marino, Bud and Judy Baker, Rosemary Marlette Jean Engelhart, John McClintock, Tom and Emilie Adams, Don and Ann Barr, Bob and Dorothy Clifton, Milt and Lilla Cooper, Harold and Marion Barr, Mary Cohn and grandchildren, Ed and Ruth (Fitchet) Mead and children, Marjorie Moats, Jim Von Rohr and Chip and Judy Coleman. If I've missed anyone, forgive me. We set October20-22 for next year's mini. Alot of business transacted at our annual meeting. John McClintock will give the details. As your secretary-treasurer, I thank you for just being you, '46ers! And yes, we're still solvent. I regret to tell you that our class bequest chair, Frank Ettari, died on December 15 in Florida. Frank had done an outstanding job as our bequest chair. Our deepest sympathy goes out to his family. And we need someone to take over Frank's position. Please contact me if you're willing.
