It has been a fairly mild winter here in New York, with only one major snowfall (so far!). Boston and the rest of New England got hit hard a few weeks ago. Nevertheless, pitchers and catchers are due to report this week, so spring can't be far behind. By the time you read this, we will have had our yearly dinner at Rene Pujol Restaurant in New York City (March 2), and I hope that more classmate news will be generated for our upcoming class columns. Unfortunately, the e-mails and letters have been sparse.

We received an e-mail in December from Sam Cuddeback reporting that he and his two daughters cheered the Dartmouth men's basketball team in their near upset of Stanford just before Christmas. Dozens of alums, organized by Quentin Kopp '49, attended the game, and Sam reported that he had a chance to visit with Dick Wenzel and Bob Cushman, who both live in the East Bay area. Sam would like to see a concurrent West Coast version of the Rene Pujol dinner and is looking for volunteers to help organize such an event. The New York dinners have been very successful and well worth the effort.

Andy Urban has been named co-managing member of Mintz, Levin, at al., a Boston law firm. Mintz, Levin is a multidisciplinary law firm with more than 450 attorneys. Andy served as vice president for professional practice from 1989 to 1998 and has also served on the firm's executive and policy committees.

Classmate Andy Harvard has returned to the College as the new director of outdoor programs and associate dean of student life. Andy has an extensive and varied resume in that he has practiced law for a Paris-based company, founded a business in Kathmandu and has led or participated in four expeditions up Mount Everest. He will be responsible for strengthening the existing activities and programs run by the outdoor programs office and the DOC.

I spoke with Greg Fell, our reunion chairman, who advises everyone to plan for our 35th reunion on June 12-15, 2006. This is our first Monday through Thursday reunion, so plan accordingly. Greg, along with our reunion treasurer DaveBrooks, is arranging for various social and recreational activities in unique venues. Dave is also planning for a pre-reunion Webcast (we hope we will have more information on that in future class columns or on the Web site). Any comments or suggestions (including offers to assist) may be sent to Greg at gregory.e.fell@citigroup.com.
