Wonderful write up in DartmouthLife on Fran and Bob Boehm about all they have given back to Dartmouth. In addition, Bob is on the board of directors for the Center for Constitutional Rights and is treasurer for the Lawyers Commission on Nuclear Policy. They will try to be at the 70 th. If I get there, I will miss the reunion tennis game I had scheduled with Bob and Maury Rapf. Bob, a " Wahoo" to you.
George W. "Duke" Landsberry still golfs. He is driving from Okemos, Michigan (just outside of Lansing), to the 70th. Would love to have someone in the class call him to say they would drive with him. Life is good but he really misses his wife, who has passed away.
Norris Nims reports he had a phone call from Jack Donahue, his college roommate, saying he needed a break from the horrendous winter of cold and snow, so he and daughter, Sheila, left Massachusetts and flew to Florida, where they had the use of a condo surfside near Miami. They then drove to Palm Beach to get together and reminisce inisce about living in the top floor of South Fayerer and using the icicles hanging from the roof to mix their drinks. Norrie, thanks for the input.
Sam Milesky says he is still chairman of a nonprofit organization, eats lunch with friends every week, after which he goes bowling with a new ball that has a mind of its own. He and his wife take a walk every day, eat out often, visit their daughter in Sarasota and he tries calling Specht but gets nowhere. He is a member of the interview committee, but sees few applicants. Complains that there are not many alums around Madison, Wisconsin.
Lou Bookheim says he and Harriet are both going strong and, despite her very poor vision, celebrated her 90 th birthday with a very pleasant party.
Hope you all try to get to the 70th. I will! Three obits. I get a pang remembering those I knew. Thanks to all who got in touch. Sorry if sometimes I am terse; I am limited to how much I can write and the College has cut back on the number of Tear Bags.
