My detective work found the lost Theodore Monell living with his daughter, Kit, in High Falls, New York, above Poughkeepsie. His health's not great but morale good. After WW II naval duty, he became an International Nickel sales manager, but changed to his first love, fishing, captaining his boat out of Montauk, Long Island. I also had a clue about another lost, Granville Browning. He has moved from Palm Harbor, Florida, to nearby St. Petersburg, but my pursuit was blocked by an unlisted number. Frank "Pete" Power phoned from his apartment in Port Richey, Florida, above St. Petersburg, alone since his wife, Helen, died last November 2, on his 93rd birthday. He has three meals available and his daughter, Patricia, lives close by with son Steve '61 about a hundred miles away. Frank, Steve, two brothers and two granddaughters comprise the Dartmouth Power family. Walking is limited so his activities are largely TV and reading. Good to hear from Don Marcus, my predecessor, who is almost blind plus a broken hip in October but in good spirits enjoying his piano in his Cape Cod ocean-side house.
Your officers have had falls. Ed Marks and Bob Ackerberg, is moving to Waukesha, had nasty ones on the noggin. Bill Lieson had some before his hip replacement but feels much better, with walker. Howdy Pierpont, who is selling his Hanover house, and I have fallen but mostly on soft surfaces. Be careful, you guys. Make your cane or walker your best friend.
