Hope everyone is having a wonderful summer. Lots of great updates this time! Yovany Jerez wrote in about his recent move to Atlanta, Georgia, where he'll be working for Group O Inc. "It s a private company ranked 22nd in the Hispanic 500, with an annual revenue of $200 million. They have a strong national presence, but their main facilities are in the Midwest. The idea is to create new resources in the Southeast, and this is where I came into the picture. With an entrepreneurial approach, I am to build and fortify a strong southeast division of Group O Inc. I picked Atlanta because it truly is the upcoming city of the 21st century. Right now it has 4.5 million people but by 2010 is estimated to reach 9 million. Plus, it has wonderful weather and personally, it looks like a good place to establish some roots!"

Alice Gomstyn has plenty to smile about these days. "Actually, I've got a ridiculous amount of stuff going on right now—I'm getting married in New Jersey on August 14 to Brian Maloney '01. There are a ton of Dartmouth alums invited, including Jenny Thomas (who will be a bridesmaid) and Michael Malia (who will be a groomsman). I'm still in Rhode Island right now, but Brian and I are planning to move somewhere in the New York/New Jersey metropolitan area right around the time of the wedding." In addition Alice just won two second-place awards in the annual writing contest held by the Rhode Island Press Association. "One was in the category of personality/profile pieces, for a story I wrote on a Jell-O-shot-manufacturer-turned-town-coun-cilman. The other was in the category of features, for a story I wrote on a teenager who has emerged as a national advocate for research on obsessive compulsive disorder." Congratulations on all counts!

Word came from Margie Makielski of a minireunion in London. "Cecily Garber lives in a London flat with three other girls and she is pursuing a master's degree in English literature. Kristin Andrews, Devon Haskell and Megan Malgeri came to visit. They headed to Iceland after visiting a few days. Devon and Mally just finished a six-month bike trip around New Zealand and Australia. Kristin just finished a masters degree in public health at Emory and will be starting a job in Washington, D.C., in the fall. I continued on to southern Spain and Italy with Cecily. We went on many runs together (we ran together on Dartmouth's varsity cross country and track teams). We also toured the Big Ben, Parliament, Covent Garden and Westminster Abbey. I finished Peace Corps in Paraguay in March 2004 due to poor health."

Sue Roy kicked butt in her first-ever triathlon, the Hyannis Sprint Triathlon at the beginning of June. She'had been training for six months with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Team in Training (TNT) and raised about $2,400 for blood-related cancer research and patient services. "It was quite an amazing experience all around. I'm looking forward to keeping up my training and involvement with TNT."

Finally, Keith Burdette was able to live out every true sports fan's dream and be on ESPN. He recently went to New York City to be a contestant on their game show Stump the Schwab. "I beat two other contestants to make the final round but unfortunately didn't win the big prize." The show aired in mid-May.
