Hello class of 2004! To start off with some exciting news: In case you missed it in the '02 column of the July/August magazine, our classmate Katie Baines was engaged to Matt Drossos '02 in January. The Couple Will be getting married in June 2006.

With the end of an academic year, it seems that many people are on the move: Succumbing to the magnetism of the Red Sox, Jamie Perencevich has moved to Boston after a year of teaching high school physics in Haverford, Pennsylvania. Gina Ferrie reports that she has left Orlando, Florida (where she was previously working at Disney World), and will be in New jersey for the summer before heading to Columbia University this fall to start her master's in conservation biology. Fresh off his travels in South America, Ben Mustin has settled in to Boulder, Colorado, where he is working at Greenhouse Partners, a firm that specializes in marketing and branding. Meanwhile, making their way home from the South Pacific this June were Kristin Burgde, Sarah Wolf, Rachel Baker, Jesse Cameron-Glickenhaus, Tony Balsamo, Liz Bultman, Emily Graham, Peter Keenan and Steve Zyck. All nine of them spent the past school year teaching in the Marshall Islands through a program in the education department. Kristin writes that she is headed to Burlington, Vermont, this fall, where she will work for DREAM.

In New York City Risa Needleman has started an art gallery and her first sale, featuring contemporary Latin-American art, is coming up. See ir at www.risaneedlemangallery.com. Jarrod Shoemaker, our class triathlete, is currently (as of June 28) ranked 101st on the ITU world rankings, after placing fifth in his first pro race of the season at Tempe ITU and fifth at his second race in Rincon, PRITU. To monitor his progress, check out www.jarrodshoemaker.com.

And finally...your regular burst of travel updates: During the spring Daniel Colvard spent two months traveling through Johannesburg, Mozambique, Zambia, Botswana, Dubai, Oman, China and Japan. During the summer he is participating in Harvard Design School's summer architecture program, before heading back to New York. Reporting from the South Pacific, Remy Wildrick wrote in that she is enjoying living in Bali, Indonesia, and working for a company called Field works International that is a professional design resource for luxury hotels. They work with hotels throughout Indonesia, the Maldives, Seychelles and several other tropical paradise-type locales. Aruna Kamath is in Geneva, Switzerland, working for the World Health Organization. Another world traveler, James Klaas, reported in April that he had made it from Tahiti to New Zealand to Australia, with plans to visit Singapore, Bali, Thailand, Cambodia, Kenya, Egypt, Greece, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Italy, Spain, France and England before starting med school in August! Whew...sounds like he's a busy guy!

For a report on some more local travels, I bumped into Rollo Begley on Nantucket Island over Memorial Day weekend. Rollo had just finished five months of artillery training, which he thoroughly enjoyed, and was taking a two-week respite before heading back to military training.

To finish, a plea from your dutiful class secretary: Please send me your updates! You don't need to be globetrotting or getting married to be in the Class Notes! (As Paul Marino has demonstrated over the past few months. In case anyone is wondering, he's currently pursuing his dream of becoming a world champion bullfighter. Blitz him if you have questions.) And that's it for this column. Be in touch!
