The year-end holiday lunches in Boston and New York were again well attended. Twenty-three classmates met at the Weston Golf and Country Club in suburban Boston and 32 classmates attended the New York City luncheon at the Yale Club. Jay Davis, Steve Mullins, Art Rauch and Harry Robinson attended both luncheons. The Boston group enjoyed the company of several '53s who joined the gathering. Both groups missed the presence of Dick Page and his usual performance as master of ceremonies, which he has been expected to play. Dick was on Cape Cod in support of one of his charitable causes.

Looking ahead in 2006 one may still have time to join the class golfers who will have their annual outing this year from February 26 to March 1 at Tampa Pines Golf and Country Club in Florida. Shelly Woolf is the contact. Don Berlin and John Fenn may also have space available for the class-organized trip to the Dordogne and Provence from June 24 to july 5. Also you should alert Don Belcher or Ed Scott of your interest in the mini-reunion planned for Seattle and Vancouver with a possible side trip to Victoria Island this coming September.

Homecoming this year will be held in Hanover the weekend of October 13. After much discussion the annual class meeting held at Homecoming is moved from Saturday to Friday at 3 p.m., thus freeing up Saturday morning. A post-Homecoming mini-reunion is scheduled from Sunday, October 15, to Tuesday, October 17, at Herb Hillmans Golden Eagle resort in Stowe, Vermont. While skiing will not be an option, the golf courses are open and the early October week will offer autumn colors at their peak.

Looking well ahead into 2007, Steve Mullins is planning another birthday party for class members—our 75 th. He is working on an April 12 through 15 event originally planned for New Orleans. We shall see. And in 2009 we shall have our 55th reunion. Jay Davis appointed John Fenn and Pete Barker to be cochairs. Alex Gray will lend treasury support for their effort.

The David T. McLaughlin Memorial Committee, chaired by Dick Page, reports that a bust of Dave has been agreed to by the College. The committee proposed the sculptor George W. Lundeen to fashion the bust. Over 50 percent of the estimated cost of the bust and its installation had been pledged by classmates as of January 1. The committee has solicited the balance from our class members.
