This fall when Terrell Owens made the headlines regarding his beef with the Eagles, it was our classmate, Rich Bloch, who was called in to arbitrate. The fall text of the arbitration finding is on the ESPN Web site and demonstrates the clear, logical thinking that went into his decision. Lawyering runs in the Bloch family, with his wife, Sue, teaching constitutional law at Georgetown. She is periodically asked by the media to comment on current constitutional issues such as the recent eavesdropping by the Bush administration—Constitutional? No. Impeachable? No. Son Michael is clerking in New Orleans following Harvard Law and daughter Rebecca is in law school in St. Louis.
Mel Ang continues to work for the State Department. He is currently political advisor to the U.S. mission to the UN regarding Middle Eastern matters. Fifteen years ago he was serving in Baghdad when Kuwait was invaded by Iraq, making it impossible for him to attend our 25th reunion—how inconsiderate of Saddam. He and his wife, Wende, reside in N.Y.C. Their daughter attended Exeter, where classmates Rick Mahoney and Dave Weber were mentors and teachers to her. Mel looks forward to attending class functions when his travel schedule allows or when he joins many of us in retirement.

See their work on their Web site, homepage.mac. com/qt4web/panos2/lancepanos.html.
Rick Monahan and his wife, Duffy, are living and working in Peterborough, just over the hill from my digs in southwestern New Hampshire. Each of the last few years they have hosted the local Dartmouth club fall cocktail party at their lovely home. They both practice architecture, doing a good bit with historical restoration projects as well as new structures.
Jack G.F. Hill reports from Anaheim that he and Nancy Joann (Randall) were married over Thanksgiving weekend. Congratulations! They have a "conjoined brood" of seven children and 11 grandchildren Jack started a new career teaching special education students in high school"The most frustrating and rewarding work I have ever undertaken." He also coaches girls soccer. Last summer Jack underwent bilateral total knee replacement and is doing well.
Since we are of an age when things like knees, hips and shoulders are starting to give out, necessitating joint replacement; I would like to hear from any classmates who have undergone one of these procedures.
