Unfortunately, this will not get to you before our 60th reunion. I'm told by our reunion people that we are on our way to set a record for attendance at a 60th reunion. I'm looking forward to it and I'm sure it will be a great time. For now let me give thanks to Jim Von Rohr, Ray Dewees and Tom Adams for all the work they did to make the 60th a smash. As for Adams, he tells me we will reach our Alumni Fund goal. That closes out on June 30, so there'll be further news after that. I had hoped there'd be another newsletter before reunion but our editor, John McClintock, has been ill and we'll await the next newsletter when he recovers. He'd like to hear from you. He, Jud Hannigan, Buol Himnam,Tom Adams and president Walt Snickenberger served as a nominating committee for the new class officers to be elected at the 60th. You'll have a chance to vote for them—or any other nominations then. Also I hope we will have resolved the question of our money in the book memorial program at Baker Library. It'll be my task to have that passed at our meeting, as well as adopting an overdue constitution, which will bring great joy to the College, so I'm told. Had a lengthy phone talk with old roomie Jack Howard. Jack's retired after a long career starting with DuPont, then being involved with gas, electric and oil. I said "retired"—not really! He's now the project manager for a medical clinic to be built in Sudan to help the young people devastated by genocide and wars in that country. This is a charitable work by jack and how very wonderful. On a sad note, he told me his house was destroyed last Christmas by a fire. But he and Ruth escaped harm. Letter from Art O' Hara. He's down at Harbour Ridge in Palm City, Florida. Says George Hopkins and Mort Thalhimer are there, and he thinks Bill Poole. Art laments some changes at the College but adds the country's changed too. With sadness I must report the deaths of classmates Eugene J. Lucey on September 8,2005; Alex J. Nazarek, on January 24; and Kenneth E. Fulton, on January 24. We extend our deepest sympathy to their families.
