I hope all of you enjoyed the holidays. I know many are enjoying some faraway lands in the world. But I remain here to bring you a bit of news. And that's all it is and accept my apology. Tom Adams and I are working on a newsletter that will give you a lot more news. For now I want to thank Tom "Gus" Gillaugh for sending me a copy of his alumni magazine column for the fall of 1946.1 read it with some nostalgia as it brought back fond memories. I intend to have it published in full with our newsletter. Many thanks to you, Gus. He had done a great job with the DAM column except for having me married to the wrong girl! Memories are great and as this year closes we can look back with great joy, having celebrated our 60 th reunion and another successful mini-reunion in the fall. At the same time let us remember in our thoughts and prayers those classmates who died this past year. I'm sure many of you remember professor Herb West. A book has been published featuring the unexpurgated version of his farewell address to Dartmouth students in 1964. Purchase from Westholm Publications, 298 King St., Cohasset, MA 02025; hamilton.james@comcast.net. I regret to tell you that these classmates have died in 2006: Luther L. Leeger on October 25; John C. Barker on November 15; Dr. Gordon W. Daisley Jr. on November 24; and George B. Swick on December 15. We extend our deepest sympathy to their families.
