The taping of Architects of Victory, Bob Bulls photographic compendium of important military and civilian decision makers of WWII has finally been accomplished. Dartmouth provided technical support and our class has taken responsibility for production costs. Final format and availability are not yet clear. This collection will have enormous educational and historical value for current and future generations and the class should be proud of our role in its preservation.

Our class treasurer John C. Osborn is the subject of a newspaper article which recently came to my attention. John is an attorney and lives in Pittsford, New York, where he has been town attorney for 50 years! John graduated from Cornell University Law School in 1950 and entered general law practice, which he has continued throughout his entire professional career. He describes his role as a lawyer as one who helps solve problems. During his tenure as town attorney, beginning in 1956, he has had ample opportunity in this area. He knew little about municipal law when he became town attorney, but learned quickly by experience. He has guided the village and its representatives through many changes in areas such as zoning regulations, municipal water supplies and comprehensive planning, among others. "He's always gone well above the call of duty for the village," the mayor of Pittsford commented recently. In appreciation the village board recently named the meeting room the John C.Os- born Meeting Room at village hall. We congratulate him on his years of faithful service, both to our class and to the town of Pittsford.

Once again Bob Tirrell, our class newsletter co-editor, has generously shared classmate information with me. Paul Samek writes from California about attending our 60th reunion, his first. He commented that he was amazed to see so many living members and noted that most of the ones he remembers are no longer with us. Bob Steiner reports from Washington, D.C., that he and his wife, Christine, lead active lives, playing tennis and squash and enjoying deep-sea fly fishing. Heal thy activity and enjoyment happily come together for them.

Don't forget the mini-reunion at the Hanover Inn, September 24 and 25.
