Plans for the 2007 mini-reunion are taking shape. All events will take place at the Hanover Inn. There will be a dinner in the Hayward Lounge on Sunday night, September 16. On Monday, September 17, there will be a breakfast and class meeting in the Wheelock Room. Luncheon at 11:45 in the Wheelock Room will be followed by adjournment. For those interested in Dartmouth football, the Colgate game is scheduled for Saturday, September 15. Further information and registration forms will be sent with the newsletter.
I spoke recently with Ed Harte. After a career in newspaper publishing and journalism, mainly in Texas, he now lives in New York City, at the Hotel Pierre. He would be happy to have a visit from any classmates living or visiting in the area.
I also spoke recently with Stuart Anderson. Stuart, in good health, is enjoying retirement in Rancho Mirage, California. He matriculated with the class of 1945 but left shortly after Pearl Harbor. He still maintains an interest in Dartmouth and reads the alumni magazine regularly.
I wish to take note of the passing of Nick Sandoe in September 2006. He gave enormous energy and devotion to his work as head class agent and as director of the Dartmouth Alumni Fund, where he worked closely with Cliff Jordan. He was a warm, friendly human being, a credit to his college and his class, and we shall miss him.
