Wheri your alumni magazine arrives in the mail, do you aim right to this page? Are you a '94 news junkie with Web skills to boot? If so, this is your lucky day! We are currently without a class Webmaster, and we are sorely in need of one to keep our class Web site and e-mail correspondence up to date. If anyone is interested, please e-mail or call our class president, Ken Davis, at kdavis@davisbeverage.com or (610) 751-3144.
Melissa Cunningham recently wrote in for the first time (thankyou, Melissa—see? It's never too late) and boy did she have some news. Not only did she graduate in May with her M.D/Ph.D. from Penn State, but a fewweeks priorto that, she married Mike Smith in Italy, about 45 minutes from where she had done her Siena LSA. "Mike and I married in Monterongriffoli at Ankhura, a bed-and-breakfast run by Chris Tung and his wife, Christina. They were amazing hosts, and we couldn't have asked for more for our small wedding. After a honeymoon in Greece we returned to Pennsylvania to have a blowout BBQto celebrate our nuptials with friends and the rest of our family. Those who made the trip to Hershey included Cynde (Bierman) Mclnnis (pregnant and due in July), George Haleblian, Lou Ross, Ruth Mamaril, Laura (Schram) Page and Stacey (Tamaccio) Stone (with her five kids in tow!)." Melissa and her husband are now living in the beautiful city of Charleston, South Carolina, where they have bought a home and she is doing an internal medicine residency at MUSC on the clinician-scientist track. Now that's what I call an update.
More wedding news from Allison Kornet, who was married on June 18 to Juan Ruiz-Hau, whom she met rowing on the Charles River. "Juan and I have the same birthday, which makes us equally restless, animal-loving and outdoorsy. In the fall we will be working a few blocks from each other, when I begin a new job teaching English and coaching the women's crew at Buckingham Browne and Nichols School. Our ceremony was in the marsh behind my parents' house in Cohasset, Massachusetts. Afterward we danced in a big old chandeliered barn with new and old friends, among them Dartmouth pals Julie Stevenson, Joel Newton '90, Allison Mitchell, Lisa Boden Josh Bers '93, Owen Donnelley '93, Samantha Schweitzer, Alison Andrews, Marion (Shonn) Dorer and Arthur Peterson '05."
And of course, what '94 column would be complete Without more baby news? Marshall Bass dropped me a note saying he and his wife, Christina Perez Bass, were happy to announce the birth of their daughter, Lillian Isabella Bass. "This is our first child and Christina and I are truly enjoying it despite the fact that we haven't slept in six weeks. I have her scheduled for an interview at Dartmouth in 2024." When he's not home being a dad, Marshall is enjoying his fourth year at Capital Source Finance, where he structures debt financings in their health care real estate group. Christina is at home with Lillian, who is getting bigger by the minute and keeps them both very busy, but Marshall writes that they both love it.
And Sari Cohen and Adam Pollak welcomed Geraldine (Geri) Mika Cohen Pollak into the world on July 6, matching Ms. Bass ounce for ounce at 8 pounds, 6 ounces. I'm pleased to personally report that this is one cute kid; Andrew, Danny and I were able to catch up with Sari and Adam and to meet Geri over Labor Day weekend; she was so adorable even my mother-in-law kept raving about what a curie pie she was—and that's saying something.
