Recent promotions: George Miller was recently elected president and chief executive officer of the Bank of the Commonwealth, Detroit. George had previously been vice- president of the First National Bank of Chicago, with which he had been associated since 1947.

Bob Schaeberle has become vice-president of finance, National Biscuit Company.

Bill Brindley, former vice-president of the Meadow Brook National Bank, is now vice- president of the Franklin National Bank, New York.

Ted Swick has been made a general partner of White, Weld and Company, New York Stock Exchange firm. Ted is associated with the firm's municipal department.
