The year 2007 is now firmly behind us and except for the handful of '94s who were 16 upon starting college, we are all now finding ourselves in the 35-and-over category. In another day and age, namely (as she is so fond of reminding me) my mothers, classmate news for this stage of life would hardly revolve around babies—but it is a new dawn, and I find myself comfortably surrounded by other new parents even at this "late state" in life. So, in what is so common it should have its own monthly segment, I bring you 'baby news.'

Jordan Frank writes in that he and his wife, Laura, "made our own '2.0' in December with the addition of Zoey Frank to '1.0' Maxwell, who was released in 2006. In work-life I am still working with Jason Siegal at Traction Software to change the way people collaborate on the Web." Hmm, why did I have the feeling he was in computers?

Now, I may hardly be Perez Hilton, but I do have my spies all over the world working to bring you news. Dominique Ellner, who is living in London, told me that she recently got together with Sabine Freizer in Brussels. Avid readers of my column will recall that, coincidentally, Sabine and Dominique were both married on the same day back in 2005. Since then Sabine has relocated with her family—which now includes son Selim from the Republic of Georgia—to Belgium. Congratulations, Sabine!

On the work front Judd Serotta was recently elected partner at the Philadelphia law firm of Blank Rome LLP, where he is a member of the commercial litigation group. Judd has extensive experience successfully litigating complex commercial disputes on a variety of topics through trial and beyond, in both federal and state jurisdictions as well as through alternative dispute resolution. In addition he has litigated a variety of cutting-edge insurance coverage issues. Currently he also serves as the president of the Philadelphia chapter of the Federalist Society for Law and Public Policy Studies.

In other law firm news I'm pleased to report that my husband, Andrew Hyman, has joined the New York office of Covington & Burling LLP, where he will be practicing general corporate law and coming home at least two nights a week for put-to-bed; at least, this is how it was sold to me. He will apparently be focusing on mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance, which is news to me.

So write in, and then give the magazine to your spouse when your update is published; who knows, maybe they'll learn something about you. And as if you couldn't tell by the amount of editorializing in this column, I'm desperate for news and way too tired from having a newborn to be very clever. So please spare us all—turn 35, climb a mountain or join all of us gray hairs in having a baby—just don't forget to write!
