Hi '06s! I hope this column finds you well and enjoying the spring!
Shannon O'Donnell wrote in from western Massachusetts, where she is teaching at a private high school. The JV basketball team she coached this winter had its best record in years, and She's getting ready for lacrosse season. Shannon admits to not knowing much about lacrosse, but I'm confident she'll be a great coach.
Sarah Emel is in Maui for a six-month internship at the Maui Bird Conservation Center, where she's caring for some of the most endangered birds in the world! Sarahs enjoying living in Hawaii (who can blame her?) and learning about avian conservation.
Becca Wehrly is in southern Texas on a Lewin Fellowship, working on diabetes education and advocacy in impoverished communities on the Mexican border. Her project involves communicating with health workers, improving transportation and creating medical homes for patients. It sounds like Becca is keeping busy and doing great work!
Word has it that there was a fantastic minireunion in New York in February, with more than 100 'oss and '06s in attendance. To be sure you hear about gatherings in your city, please blitz mini-reunion chairs Matt Schwartz or Libby Sherman (New York), Jen Bordeau (Boston), Cate Birtley or Stacey Kourlis (Bay Area) or Mukund Bhaskar (Chicago) to be added to regional blitz lists.
It's hard to believe its been nearly a year since we graduated—I hope life after Dartmouth is going well for you, and, as always, I would love to hear how you're doing.
