Bun Harvey writes and is justifiably proud of his grandson Winthrop Harvey, who scored a perfect 1600 on his SAT exams, which resulted in interest in him from multiple colleges. In addition he was one of 20 outstanding students to participate in the U.S. biology Olympic national finals. Bun sends his best and hopes to see a good turnout at the mini-reunion in October. On August 16 was held a memorial service celebrating the life of Bill Hallager's wife, Jean, who died in December. An overflow crowd of relatives, friends and neighbors gathered at the Papermill Theater in Lincoln, New Hampshire.

Jean was deeply respected in the community and among her large circle of friends. The ceremony, arranged by Bill and his four children, was impressive in its video, musical and on-stage presentations. Class members attending included Ham Chase, Alan Epstein, Alan Hall, Don Page, Dave Stahl, John Trethaway and Frank Weber. In addition Burt Hicock '45 and his wife were there. By the time of publication our fall meeting and mini-reunion at the Norwich Inn will have passed. We expect a good turnout from the old and the faithful on October 17-19. As noted on several occasions the writer is a scribe, not a novelist, and seeks items of interest to the class for this column.

The sympathy of the class is extended to the family and friends of Ralph Twining, who died on May 6.

Keep in touch.
