Tom Jester describes retirement this way. "As a businessman I made lots of lists. Today I still make lists. The difference is if I don't want something on the list, I don't put it there." Tom has our 45 th class reunion June 9-12 on his list. If you've forgotten or are just getting around to it, there's still time. Call reunion chair Dan Muchinsky at (603) 469-3593 or e-mail him at dmuchinsky@earthlink.net. Learn more at www.dartmouth.edu, click on "alumni, then reunions," then "1963."

There will be incredible music, sports, seminars, feasting, and endless socializing. Tom Jester of Deerfield, Illinois, and Bob Haubrich of Claremont, New Hampshire, entertainment chairs, promise a mix of nonstop live music to suit many tastes from classic rock and roll and jazz bands to a cappella by the Dartmouth Aires to interludes by a professional pianist and spontaneous performances on the ivory by '63s and their guests. One of the treats—Emily Lanier, local jazz singer in the style of Diana Kroll and Sarah Vaughan—will perform for us Wednesday night at the Dartmouth Outing Club.

As for retirement, Tom and Bob are doing just fine, thank you. Tom, a former civil engineer is now village trustee of Deerfield and an avid golfer. Tom and Patricia have three sons and lots of grandchildren. Bob retired two years ago from teaching business and is now a full-time ski instructor and a drummer with local bands at night.

Hoping to make reunion is Alex Bass of Peterborough, New Hampshire, whose busy window panel company is on the cusp of the green movement. High Standard Inc., also of Peterborough, makes insulated metal panels for window replacements for public schools that are mostly east of the Mississippi. Alex visits many of these schools or at least their sales reps in his personally piloted private plane. He is also formerly president of the New Hampshire Alpine Racing Association. Son Matt followed in Dads footsteps as a University of New Hampshire ski racer. He's now an environmental police officer on the Cape. Marshall '94 is in finance in the Washington, D.C., area. Alex and Gwendolyn have five grandchildren.

Ron Foley of Prospect, Connecticut, parlayed a banking career into a successful business. More than 15 years ago Ron left Bank of Boston Connecticut and purchased a franchise from Padgett Business' Services, which provides accounting and tax services to small businesses from 400 locations around the country. Recently Ron's daughter Colleen, a former advertising executive, joined the business, which is located at 60 Waterbury Road in Prospect (203-758-3331, rfoley26s@aol.com) and services the Waterbury and West Hartford markets. Ron Jr. runs the Charlotte, North Carolina, sales office for Hytorc, oneof the oldest and largest makers of hydraulic torque tools whose applications include mining and nuclear power. Sean manages assets of computer infrastructure companies in Boston. Ron and Betty Lou have three grandchildren. He has been in touch with college roommate Carl Kreig in Norwich, Vermont, and hopes to do the same with Bill Courtney in California.
