As usual, big things are happening with the class of 2003.

Three members of our class will be inducted into Dartmouth's Wearers of the Green, the Colleges athletics hall of fame, on May 16. Matthew Muffelman, a two-time National team member and international champion in men's rowing; Carl Burnet, a two- time Olympian in men's skiing; and Christin Lathrop, an All-American in women's skiing all deserve our applause. Congratulations!

The International Humanitarian Foundation (IHF), a recognized not-for-profit organization founded by our very own David Morse and Amish Parashar, has a bold mission statement: IHF "empowers grassroots organizations worldwide to implement innovative solutions that meet the self-stated needs of their communities through collaborative, long-lasting partnerships with students and young leaders." Recently one of their new projects, Just Apparel, a nonprofit custom apparel company founded by Ryan McAnnally-Linz '06, was accepted as a member of the Fair Trade Federation. Check out the IHF Web site for more information on the fair trade products they have available.

Megan Lewis wrote in with an exciting update about her recent marriage. "Drew McConville and I recently tied the knot on a gorgeous autumn day in Cazenovia, New York. Our wedding party included Stephanie Sklar, Dan Phelan and Hannah Volfson and a host of other Dartmouth alums joined us for the occasion. It was great to be with old friends on such a special day and to wow the other attendees with our Salty Dogging skills. We're now back in North Carolina finishing up our masters degrees; mine in urban planning at UNC-Chapel Hill and Drew's in environmental science and policy at Duke."

I also heard from Alice Gomstyn, who has been socializing up a storm with fellow Dartmouth alums. She writes, "In September I celebrated my birthday in Manhattan with my husband, Brian Maloney '01, Shevani Jaisingh, Michelle Hogan, Vivian Li, Kevin Allen '02, Matt Curro '01 and Chris Graves, Th'05. In October I watched the last presidential debate—of 'Joe the Plumber' fame—at a party hosted by Ashley Nowygrod. Also that month Brian and I hung out with Darby Green '01 at a Halloween party in Brooklyn. Last but not least, during the last few months I've been working as a reporter and producer at ABCNews.com, where, coincidentally, I sit next to two Dartmouth alumni—Katie Escherich '02 and Ki Mae Heussner '02."

Finally, since it's been well documented here that I'm a huge Pittsburgh Steelers fan, I must say a public thank you to Dr. Freddie Fu '74, father of Joyce Fu, who very generously gave me tickets to see the December 7 game against the Dallas Cowboys, when, thanks to our fantastic Steel Curtain defense, we were able to pull out a most exciting last-minute victory. I'm still hoarse!
