Chuck Bralver wrote from London a few days after the Brexit referendum. He was on a business trip at-
tending the board meeting of a hedge fund he advises. He also participates on the boards of two other financial services firms and on the investment committee of infrastructure fund Ultra Capital.
In 2007 Chuck stepped down from his position as vice chairman and finished consulting for Oliver, Wyman and Co., a firm he had cofounded and sold to Marsh & McClellan Cos. He then served from 2007 to 2010 as the senior associate dean of international business and finance
at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University, where he had earned a master’s after Dartmouth. He is currently a partner in the investment firm Massif Partners LLP. Chuck lives in Westport, Connecticut, with his wife, Belinda, an author and former banker.
Chuck and Belinda met when Chuck was a graduate student at the Fletcher School and Belinda was an undergraduate at Tufts. They have four children. Andrew went to Colgate and just graduated from Tuck. Cally completed undergraduate work at Trinity College and is studying in the M.B.A. program at Columbia University’s business school. Son Rob graduated from Southern Methodist University and is now a director in Hollywood. Youngest child Lexi, a coxswain who was recruited from atop high school crew team that won at the Head of the Charles Regatta, now attends the University of Virginia. Chuck noted that he’s not retired yet, but he’s happy to be able to travel, read history and enjoy down time on Nantucket Island, Massachusetts, while he and Belinda debate an empty nest somewhere in an urban locale.
Chuck stays in close touch with Peter Haffenreffer, Rick Thatcher, Michael Degenring and Tony Magro ’76.
