WORKS OF HOVEY '85 EXHIBITED AT LIBRARY

Several parts of the original manuscript "Along the Trail," a group of poems about Dartmouth, written by Richard Hovey '85, have been on exhibition in the showcase on the first floor of the College Library.

The Hovey manuscript which is written partly in long hand, partly hand printed, and partly typewritten is in exactly the same condition as when it was first sent to the publishers by the "Dartmouth Poet." Unfortunately the poem "Men of Dartmouth" which is part of the exhibition is not in the author's own handwriting but typewritten.

The College Library obtained the manuscript at an auction of the library of a Mr. Quinn of New York, who secured it from the publishers, Small, Maynard & Co.
