About 75 men are now engaged in spring football practice. These men will work out daily under Assistant Coach L. G. Leavitt, and will follow practically the same routine as in fall practice, working gradually up to scrimmage sessions after a few days.
The training will follow a definite daily schedule drawn by Coach Hawley, and daily reports will be mailed to him, making it necessary for each man who intends to go out for football next fall to participate in the spring drill.
The Athletic Council will award cups for proficiency in drop-kicking, place-kicking and punting, the best man in each of these three departments being determined by a series of individual contests.
The plans also call for a continuation of the contests started in doors for individuals and for the three divisions, backs, ends, and linemen. These competitions will include potato races, dashes, scooping, passing, and dodging races, and at the end of the season prizes, donated by Hanover merchants, will be presented to the high point man in each division with a grand prize for the highest scorer in all three.
