CLASS OF 1876
MAY 1930 Dr. Henry H. Piper

Hill and Abbott (hosts), Tripp and Piper '76, together with Flint and Abbott '71, each of whom had a younger brother in '76, met at the Hamilton Club, Brooklyn, N. Y., March 23, for a reunion and dinner. A quiet but thoroughly enjoyed occasion resulted. Letters were read from Goodhue, Hay, Pratt, and Morrill, a wire from Stimson, and a circumstantial account of Barrett, written by his son Lawrence.

It will be recalled by members of '76 that Edward A. Paul went to Washington, D. C., soon after graduation, and in the course of a few years lifted the existing school into high school grade, really creating the Washington High School. Paul was accidentally killed in 1888. A new high school building has just been completed and named for Edward Augustus Paul. Paul's widow, who since his death has been living in Summit, N. J., and has had charge of the Kent School for Girls, will be present at the dedication in June.

The Fifty-fourth Annual Report of the class has just been sent out from Pasadena, Cal., the printing in charge of Peabody and Merrill '76.
