Mrs. Perley R. Bugbee was one of the leading performers in the recent production at Hanover of Victor Herbert's comic opera, "The Red Mill." The operetta was given under the direction of Prof. Longhurst, and was the last in a long series of annual performances, which have included most of the Gilbert and Sullivan works. The Hanover Gazette, in its review of the operetta, says: "Mrs. Bugbee was well known to Hanover audiences in her concert work, but she never had been seen in a part that required acting. She is as pleasing in her new role as the concert work." All who attended our last class reunion will always remember the beautiful singing of Mrs. Bugbee at our class dinner, especially of the old-time songs, as well as the delightful entertainment at the charming home of Mr. and Mrs. Bugbee.
