The Dartmouth freshman eleven closed its season at Cambridge on November 3 with a 27-0 loss to the Harvard yearlings. The defeat was the only one of the year for Sid Hazelton's team, which had previously beaten Clark School, Roxbury, and the New Hampshire freshmen.
Harvard's fierce running attack and numerous penalties spelled defeat for the Green freshmen. Dartmouth was unable to sustain a real offensive at any point. Coach Hazelton started the following team: Seaver and Hull, ends; McNeil and Ewing, tackles; Smith and Duckworth, guards; Frick, center; Archibald, quarterback; Alex Barrett, halfbacks; and Armour, fullback.
The New Hampshire contest on October 20 saw the Green yearlings uncork a 60-yard march and block a punt for the two touchdowns which defeated the Wildcats, 14 to 6. Captain Bernard Alex, former Worcester Academy star, featured the touchdown march, while Davis and Seaver combined to block the kick and convert it into a score.
At the close of the season, numerals were awarded by the Athletic Council to the following 31 members of the freshman squad:
