Pat Kaney's gym team, lacking four regulars, placed second to Springfield in the Junior and Senior N. E. A. A. A. U. meet at Springfield, Mass., on April 20. Springfield scored 104 points, Dartmouth 83, and M. I. T. 51.

In the junior meet, Dick Morton and Carl Funke took firsts for Dartmouth in the tumbling and the rings. Seconds went to Al Meyer on the high bar, Ralph Beetle on the rope, Karl Wolff on the parallel bars, and Bill Stimson in the tumbling. Ellie Doyle took third on the rings to bring the Green point total to go for the junior division.

In the senior meet, Herm Dock, national champion in the rope climb, repeated his victory of last year with the excellent time of 6.4. for the 25-foot climb. Dave Scherman of Dartmouth captured the senior title on the sidehorse, while Funke took second on the rings, and Morton took third in the tumbling.

Prior to the spring recess, the Green gymnasts engaged in two meets, losing to Temple, 41 to 13, on March 22 and to Navy, 44 to 10, on the following day. In the Temple meet. Dock captured the rope climb and Funke the flying-rings event, with the remaining three points gained through Sager's third in the horizontal bar, Doyle's third in the rings, and Moister's third in the tumbling. In the Navy meet, Dock again won the rope climb, Morton and Moister tied for second in the tumbling, and Steffens finished third on the parallel bars.
