ALL ALUMNI WHO ATTEND the Dartmouth-Navy football game in the Baltimore Stadium on October 14 are cordially invited to participate in the LITTLE POW WOW arranged for their pleasure and convenience by the members of the Dartmouth Club of Baltimore.
A large Dartmouth flag waving from the portico of the Hotel Belvedere will designate the Belvedere as Dartmouth Headquarters. During the day an information and register desk will be maintained in the lobby, and special room rates have been arranged for visiting alumni. Tables have been reserved in the Grill Room for an informal luncheon prior to the game. The Big event of Baltimore's Little Pow Wow will be the official Dartmouth-Navy Tea Dance, sponsored by the Club, which will be held at the Belvedere after the game. The entire top floor of the hotel has been engaged for the dance, scheduled from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Refreshments will be available. One of Baltimore's finest orchestras will furnish the music. Admission to the Tea Dance will be $1.50 per couple and $1.00 stag (including tax). The Club has arranged this dance feeling that most visiting alumni will want to have something to do immediately after the game, before setting out for home.
The Midshipmen's parade into the Stadium will start at 1:15 (game called for 2:00 p.m.) and should not be missed, as it is a striking spectacle. In making the LITTLE POW WOW a success the Dartmouth Club of Baltimore will be assisted by the Philadelphia, Washington, and Richmond Alumni Clubs. So don't forget that it's the LITTLE POW WOW in Baltimore for the important Dartmouth-Navy Football Game on Saturday, October 14. We will be on hand at the Hotel Belvedere at Charles and Chase Streets to treat you to a bit of southern hospitality.
For this account of our plans for the Navy game I am indebted to Dick Colton '25. Further discussion of plans will take place at a joint dinner with the Navy Alumni Club on September 13 and at our monthly meeting on September 21. Our officers for the coming season, elected in May, are: president, Bob Hazard '29; Ist vice president, Don McPhail '32, who is heading our committee of arrangements for the LITTLE POW WOW; 2nd vice president, Jake Shafer '37, in charge of entertainment and programs for our monthly meetings; treasurer, Arthur Flinner '35; secretary, Harold Hastings 'OO. When you come to Baltimore don't fail to make yourself known to one of us, or to some other Dartmouth resident.
