ON MARCH 28 THE HARTFORD CLUB played willing host to the Glee Club and Barbary Coast orchestra at the Hartford Club in what turned out to be a profitable and entertaining concert and dance. The net proceeds of $75. will be turned over to Professor Neef to be used for scholarship purposes. About 400 people were present at the concert in addition to those who enjoyed the Barbary Coast for a half hour over the air waves of WTHT and a radio interview which the same station conducted with Don Cobleigh.
Stamford met on April 1 to hear Professor Benfield Pressey. A buffet supper preceded the scheduled events and a large crowd attended. Chalk up another fine job for Ev Robie.
Professor Pressey held forth also at the Quinnipack Club in New Haven on March 29. His lecture concerning his recent study of production methods in the motion picture industry and the work that is being done at Dartmouth in the training of students who are interested in writing for the stage and screen is most inteVesting and reflects the prominence which his work is being given at Dartmouth.
The Eastern Club has seen and heard much about the current Dartmouth recently with the crew spending a week at New London getting in some much needed early spring practice.
