A. H. Ross reports the marriage of his son, A. H. Jr. '29 to Cecilia Gross at Berkeley, Calif., May 2, 1940.

Hadlock writes: My grandson, who has been christened Daniel Canfield Hadlock, was born June 5, 1941. He has been registered in the class of '62. His father is Canfield Hadlock, of the class of 1926. Generally when I mentioned the fact that I was grandfather to my friends last June they would just look me over and ask me if I had only one grandchild. So I stopped talking about him and did not even notify you.

No particulars have been received concerning Bacon's last illness. Usually prompt in reply to the secretary's letters, there was no response to a recent letter of inquiry.

Sentiment thus far expressed favors a quiet observance of our fifty-fifth anniversary next June.
