Our field for information for Class Notes is necessarily limited, but if there is one thing in the world which can be depended upon, it is a prompt reply from classmate George Davidson of Chicago, our "Davie" who usually merits the title of "Great American Traveller" for travelling is his hobby, but it happens that a year ago he had an illness which culminated in a hospital operation which prevented him from attending our last Reunion and which apparently so far this year has interfered with his indulgence in his favorite pastime.
Contrary to his usual custom of roaming about the United States in his auto, he has stayed quietly at home all summer. His program generally includes seeing some new part of our Country each year and has heretofore included Alaska in his itinerary. But this year he apparently has had to forego his usual "wanderlust" and instead has contented himself with short trips attending meetings and conventions of the numerous Scientific and Professional Societies and Associations with which he has always been connected and in which notwithstanding the fact he retired many years ago from active professional life as a Chemical Engineer, he is still interested.
He writes he has recently attended a meeting of the American Institution of Mining Engineers in Duluth, Minnesota and with them looked over some Iron Ore Mines located in Northern Minnesota, showing that his interest in his former professional occupation is still alive and active.
He writes his health continues to be good and that his plans for the coming winter are at present very uncertain, depending largely upon War conditions at home and abroad.
