After the gentle urging of the Secretary to each member of the class to send in news items, reaching him surely by the 8th day of each month in order that he might make a "10 strike percentage," as he fully explained in the November issue of the MAGAZINE, he naturally hoped for a 100% response from his classmates, but alas, his words fell on "stony ground" for only one responded this month.

Charlie Chase, ever faithful, reports the birth of another granddaughter, Diana Judd, on October 9, 1941, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William H. Judd Jr. (Mr. Judd being Dartmouth '34); the Secretary is happy to extend congratulations and best wishes of the class to Diana, her parents and grandparents. Charlie also reports that he, with his wife and daughter Alice, were among the 40,000 who saw the Indians mow-down the Bulldogs 7-0 in the Yale Bowl on October 85th.

For lack of further information from his classmates, the Secretary modestly reports that he and his wife closed their summer home in Beverly late in October and are spending the winter at Hotel Fensgate, 534 Beacon Street, Boston, where they had the pleasure of entertaining their daughter .and son-in-law, Dr. and Mrs. Edwin P. Buchanan of Pittsburgh, Pa., while the Doctor was attending the Convention of the American College of Surgeons held in Boston during the first week in November.

The Secretary reports regarding his four grandchildren as follows: Lucia is a junior at Holiins College, Virginia; Edwin is a freshman at Princeton, his father's college; Ellen is a student at the Emma Willard School, Troy, N. Y., where her mother graduated; and Eustace is at school at home in Pittsburgh.

Classmates help your Secretary make a "10 strike" in class news each month hereafter.
