On August 10 the ashes of Chas. G. DuBois were interred in a quiet spot at South View Cemetery. Dr. Fraser Metzger of New Brunswick, N. J., long a friend of the family, conducted the brief committal service. Among the relatives and friends of Mr. DuRois were included five members of the Class of Ninety-one; John Abbott, Bugbee, Fish, Dr. C. A. Smith, and E. W. Tewksbury.
Mrs. Wm. P. Ladd has taken an apartment at 162 Bishop St., New Haven, Conn., where her two sons are now living; John is in the navy, but temporarily assigned to work in a munitions factory in that city, and Edward is in the Yale Graduate School and doing some teaching. The two daughters are in Radcliffe College.
M. D. Barrows, who has spent the summer in Boothbay Harbor, is expected to be back in Melrose before the middle of November.
