THE USUAL SCRAPING and scurrying for news each month for this column was very pleasantly eliminated by an unexpected trip to Williamsport the past weekend, where we hacl the good fortune of attending a tea at which Dr. and Mrs. Edward Lyon, Williamsport, announced the engagement of their daughter, Miss Florence Priestly Lyon, to Donald L. Cameron '34. Miss Lyon attended the Dickson Seminary and "L'Ecole D'Artes," Paris, France. She is an active member of the Williamsport Junior League. "Flo" is one of the most charming and attractive young ladies we have ever met, and Don is a most fortunate young man. Don is, as you know, now connected with the Bethlehem Steel Company in Williamsport. The wedding will most likely be a summer event.

During a full schedule of parties over the week-end we were privileged to be entertained at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Schneebeli '30. Herm is the local distributor for the Gulf Refining Company in the Williamsport territory and is doing very well.

We regret that we did not have the opportunity to call Sid Milnor and several of the other boys whom we had in mind when we got to Williamsport, but inquired about them and found that they are still on the job and doing fine.

Little information of interest is available at this time concerning local men. Apparently due to the cold weather most of them have taken refuge beside their cozy firesides and refuse to answer telephones.

"Van" Van Riper, our President, has started formulating plans for a spring meeting, at which time we hope to have a speaker from the College, if the Army spares enough of us to listen. This meeting will no doubt be planned for some time around the spring vacation.
