In January Merrill Boyd's son, Mitchell, enlisted as a private in the Coast Artillery. He is stationed at Fort Revere, Hull, Massachusetts.

Herbie Thyng has two sons in the army, both of them lieutenants. Charles, the older, is stationed at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he is Asssistant Professor in Military Science and Tactics. Recently his engagement was announced to Miss Beryle Thompson of Winchester, New Hampshire, and a June wedding is planned.

Harrison, Herb's younger son, is Flight Commander in the 31st Pursuit Division of the United States Army Air Corps. He is stationed at Selfridge Field, Mount Clemens, Michigan. He is married and has a son.
