In the passing of Arthur H. Hale we have lost a member whose fealty—to Class and College—was outstanding. Our heart- felt sympathy goes out to his family. Obituary in this issue.

Newton expresses thanks to those who —by their personal or memorial gifts—have placed 'B6 among the leaders in the Alumni Drive, and especial appreciation (in which I join) of the wealth of family history sent in—too much for "Class Notes" —but ideal for a "Class Letter" which will follow in the fall.

June ist and 2nd were memorable dates for the Thurstons as: Grandson Cadet Arthur Thurston Surkamp graduated from West Point, June ist, and married Miss Jean Heard the next day. As Lieutenant he is assigned to the Engineering School in Belvoir, Va.; and Grand-daughter Anne, Arthur's sister, married Arthur's classmate, Henry Leon Hogan III,June3 1st.Hogan, as cadet was president of his class,as lieutenant he is assigned to the air service in sebring.Fla.

Correction: Dr. Eliza T. Ransom is head resident physician in the Sierra Vista Sanitarium and Hospital in Corona, Cal. not Covina, as stated in May issue.
