Sam Rose seems better than he was a year ago. He enjoys the ALUMNI MAGAZINE and appreciates the attentions o£ his class. Send him a "Cheerio" at 60 Pierce St., Greenfield, Mass. His granddaughter Carol, Philip's daughter, is a church worker in Hawaii. His son Ed is due for retirement soon but is now representing the U. S. Army in the four nations' council in Vienna—a very exhausting assignment.

Pete Richmond says that it is a sunny day in Hingham when the Monthly arrives. He went up to Dover before the winter set in to take a silver cup to his great-granddaughter there.

Ned Ross is back home from the hospital recovering from a shock suffered in the autumn.

Ed Frost's oldest son Frederick has been in England, helping to establish a branch factory for the Warren Paper Cos.

The list of contributors credited to '86 shows strikingly that many of the wives and children of classmates feel that they too belong to Dartmouth and Eighty-six.

Fund Contributors for 1947 23 Gifts (Participation Index 383). Total gifts: $330.44 (220% of objective). JAMES W. NEWTON, Class Agent.
