Many thanks for the Xmas greetings and New Year's wishes from such a great number of you, including the nice matches from the John Winthrop Proctors.
From Red Newell in Caracas, Venezuela: "Just a few lines containing year-end good wishes to yourself and the gang.
"We came over here from Panama on October, 20 instead of transferring to Bogota as arranged some time previously. Had just a week to prepare for the new assignment, which involves quite a different climate, viz., 3,000 feet altitude instead of 9,000. Fortunately Clara's baggage and household effects had not yet reached the Isthmus from California, or it would probably take us six months or so to recover them from Colombia. Even as it is, we are still living out of airplane luggage and cannot guess when our things may arrive.
"Nevertheless, we are gradully getting settled and are fortunate, from all reports, to be here, rather than in cold, damp Bogota. The season here is always spring and is apt to spoil one for almost any other location on the map. The cost of living is notoriously high, but so is it back home, with taxes much greater than here. All the best to you and the boys." Thanks, Red.
The Alumni Fund is now under way. Get yours in early and make it as easy as possible for your fund agent and his assistants. Just a little thought and promptness on our part will help a great deal to lighten the work for them. Come on, gang for Dartmouth and 24! This means YOU.

Nice letter from Harland Stockwell. Stock writes, "Just a note to give a hearty second to Luit's suggestion that our 20th Reunion be held somewhere in the Middle West, presumably in Chicago. I think it a splendid idea and feel sure that the '24 men hereabouts would be happy to devote time to arranging for all necessary details. I, for one, will volunteer to do all I can. Offhand I would suggest some place like the Edgewater Beach Hotel as an excel- lent meeting place." I hope some more of you will send in your ideas. Time is getting short. Stock is assistant secretary of the Civic Federation in Chicago, and was recently honored by being elected president of the Governmental Research Association of the United States. Thanks for your letter, Stock.
