Ken Harvey writes from New York: "In the early spring I endeavored to get in the Navy, having been offered a good commision but I was turned down because of an old operation I had some years back. So I have been with the War Production Board, Bureau of Construction, since that time. My work has taken me to Washington and at present am located in New York." Good to hear from you, Ken. Henry B. Barker is with the legal de- partment of the Remington Arms Cos. George L. Emrich Jr., investment consult- ant for the last eleven years, has joined the Chicago office of Brown Bros., Harriman and Cos., as a member of their investment advisory staff.
Dr. Pennington Haile, a leading author- ity on international law and international relations holds M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from Harvard and has been an instructor at Dartmouth. Since 1935 he has been as- sistant director of the popular education program of the commission to study the organization of peace. For a number of years Dr. Haile lived at Geneva, where he had a front seat in observing the machina- tions of the totalitarian governments. Start- ing in February, 1940, he was moderator of a series of student discussions on the issues and organization of peace given over the Columbia Broadcasting System.
Ernest S. Hickok is associated with the Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Cos. in its New York office—he's a holder of a C.L.U. degree. Mr. and Mrs. Hickok have three children—Richard, 17, James, 14, Sally 'io. Hickok numbers among his many Summit, N. J., interests the following: Di- rector of Summit Kiwanis Club; vice presi- dent of the Summit District of Boy Scouts and former commissioner of Boy Scouts in this district; vice chairman of the City Re- publican Committee; platoon leader in the Defense Council police reserves; and vice president of the Summit High P. T. A.
Vincent D. Rogers, a former student of Brewster Academy, has been appointed its headmaster. Vin transferred to Dartmouth after two years at the University of New Hampshire. He taught at Barre, Vt., and since 1926 has served as teacher and coach of basketball at Manchester Central High School. He is married and has four chil- dren. Congratulations.
Cedric Foster, a former newspaper man, finds his European newspaper experiences are proving very valuable in his daily news- casts from the Yankee Network in Boston. He has been on the radio locally for the past seven years and has now gone on from coast to coast. This year he was awarded the medal of distinction of the order of Aleppo by the Greek education society for his day-to-day picture of the Greek-Italian War. He is married and has two daughters.
