We're making our post-war readjustments in fairly good style, if the news on hand is any criterion. As you may guess from the dot-and-dash items below, the source of this news are the postcard questionnaires which have been coming in quite promptly.....

THE PATTER OF LITTLE FEET

(More like a stampede, by the looks of things.) Carol Ann joined the Bob Eatons on June 12, making it a quartet CourtneyCatron announces the arrival of a Jr. on July 16 Fred Gaenslen, out of the Navy, and practising orthopedic surgery in Milwaukee, reports the arrival on August 13 of his first son, Frederick Richard On September 5, Cliff Porter justifiably boasts, his four-year-old daughter Lynn got a new sister, Lee And John Mallory's four-year-old son got a sister, too. Her name is Diane Heather, born on August 14 Roberta and John Cartwright had their second daughter, Deborah, on August 28. John is practising medicine in Bismarck, N. D., affiliated with the Raun and Strauss Clinic there One day earlier, Fred and Libby Gonnerman's family was increased by the arrival of Susan. Fred is still down in Washington, D. C., with George P. Byrne Cos. His new home address, however, is 6207-431'd St., Riverdale, Md Some time ago, we received a novel photographic announcement from Ed Hyde, the essence of which was that Catherine Hyde was born on July 30. I knew there was a good reason why wife Margie couldn't make Reunion Dr.Tom Lane became a father for the third time when, on July 27, Margaret arrived..... Wonder if there was a special edition published of the Beatrice, Neb., Daily Sun, with whom Bob Marvine is associated, when his second son, David Earl, made his appearance on June 13

September 30 was the birthday of RichardStowell Jr Ed Redington sets the perfect example of how news should be reported: He not only filled in his questionnaire, but sent us a note to tell us that his second child, a daughter Randall, was born on September 22. Ed went on to report—and this, of course, does not rightfully belong under the "little feet" heading—that he has returned to the New York law firm of Hughes, Hubbard and Ewing, that he recently purchased a home in Brightwater, L. 1., and now lives within a mile or so of George Peck and El Camp. At this point, EI would much rather live nearer his office, the New Jersey Bell Telephone Company, for commuting takes up too much of his time. Perhaps this will be only a temporary problem for EL, since he contemplates returning to the Army, depending on the settlement of a question of permanent rank. He got out of uniform in February, as a lieutenant colonel.

WEDDING BELLS

They rang for Fred Warne and Susanne Sanders on September 21. No particulars

And they will have rung for Johnny Creigh and Beverly Day on October 26. Ditto on details Some of you '36 bachelors must be in the process of changing your minds—and status. Give us the low-down!

WHERE D'YA WORK-A, JOHN?

Since back from Service, many of us have left our old jobs, ventured into new fields, moved around the country a bit. Herewith is a partial story Ed Higbee picked up stakes and moved a good piece nearer Hanover. He's up in Boston, with the accounting firm of Lybrand, Ross Bros., Montgomery. He and Helen solved the housing problem, too, having found an apartment. What's the secret formula, f01k5?.... Since August Ist, Dr.Charles M. Thompson has been a radiologist with Van Atta Laboratories in Albuquerque, N. M Jim Dern has been with the investment house of Smith, Barney & Co. since March first. He lists his address as 105 W. Adams St., Chicago Chuck Sims has gone into a new line—metal giftware; when we saw him last, he was ironing out the wrinkles involved in setting up a new shop BobStokes has done something of which many of us may be envious—he's learning farming, at the hands of a real expert up in Oneida, N. Y. And he's getting some theoretical training too, at Cornell Agricultural College. Perhaps after a while, Bob may be in a position to give us some reliable info on this meat shortage.... or better still, some meat.

In the education world, Pop Beckel began teaching history at Westfield, N. J., High School this fall. We haven't reached the bottom of the pile as far as these cards are concerned, but we'll save the rest for next month. In the meantime, maybe more of you will be good enough to fill in the blank spots.
