It was my privilege on the weekend of January 14 and 15 to attend a series of meetings here in Hanover for the Class Secretaries and Class Agents of the classes 1940 through 1948. The duties of these two jobs and their relation to other class officers were discussed by Mr. Mason, chairman of this year's Alumni Fund campaign, and Mr. Hayward, Secretary of the College. This meeting came at a bad time for the Class of 1946 because Tom Burnap announced that he would have to give up his job as Class Agent because of his duties at Mary Hitchcock. Tom has done a wonderful job and we hate to lose him. The new Class Agent appointed was Bob Kimball and I knowhe's going to do a bang up job. As most of you know, there have been no permanent class records set up for our class and there has been little or no organizational work done along class lines. Bob and I will start an active class file in the very near future.

Speaking of Bob Kimball, he and Jackie became the parents of a baby girl born on Christmas morning and very appropriately named Holly. Bob is working in the Production Control Dept. at Hood Rubber Cos. It's easy to see he's going to be plenty busy in the future with his new duties.

A letter from Ted Fajen says that he and Dick Mason have an apartment in Evanston. Ted is "acting" as a manufacturer's agent while Dick is working for a large electrical contractor.

There is still plenty of activity in the marriage and engagement department. Bob Wilson and Barbara Lou Wesselmann of Buffalo, N. Y. announced their engagement on January 8. John Gogle and Shirley Moore were married on the same day out in Lafayette, Indiana. Sandy Treat, of ski team fame, and Marion Knudson of Jackson Heights, L. I., N. Y. also announced their engagement about Christmas time. Phil Struhsacker and Marjorie Mitchell of Glen Ridge, N. J. also made known their intentions during the holiday season. Frank Cole and Mary Jane Barlow will take the big step on February is in Trenton, N. J. (That's Carnival Weekend!)

Bill Staley and Betty Bennett were married on December 29 out in Winnetka. Bob Norris and Arleta Paul were married last September 7. Bob is now vice-president of the H. E. Schanz Co. in Caldwell, N. J.

Quite a few of the fellows have been in town recently according to the "Dartmouth- in-Town-Again" board at the Inn. CharlieDuncan and wife, Don Hutchinson, who evidently is working in New York, Bob Grady,Bill Schaldach and Joe Keckeisen were all here on short visits.

Dick Donnavan is employed as a field representative for the A. C. Neilsen Cos. out in San Francisco. Dick Price is with the Southwest National Bank in El Paso, Texas. SpenceSmith is in training with the Weyerhauser Timber Co. out in Oregon.

By the way, the latest count gives us the following figures for the class; 635 graduates, 180 non-graduates, and 77 men still undergraduates. This makes ours one of the largest in the history of the school.

Now I'm going to stick my neck out. Seems that every class has a class baby. Under ordinary conditions it's not too hard to find the title holder but in our case complications will arise. The honor goes to the first male child born to a member of the class after his graduation. We've had guys graduating for a matter of years now and controversies undoubtedly will arise but nevertheless we're still anxious to find the baby. Those are the only rules, so all yon proud fathers with male heirs write in and give me the scoop. Don't forget to include our date of graduation, the date and place of the baby's birth and any other pertinent information. There's fame and fortune waiting, so don't be bashful. The winner will be announced at a later date.

See you next month
