OUR MONDAY NOON luncheons at the Astor Hotel in Milwaukee continue to grow in popularity. There were about 40 men present on Monday, December 30—many of them undergraduates home on vacation.
That night our group welcomed Charles Bolte, a Dartmouth veteran who has been instrumental in organizing the A.V.C. He is a likeable individual, well-informed and well poised, and his welcome by various civic groups was so genuine that we believe he liked Milwaukee as well as Milwaukee liked him. After he had gone, the Milwaukee Journal sang his praise. And that's good. Our local evening daily doesn't throw bouquets undeservedly.
We will see Mr. Bolte again. His organization has planned a convention in Milwaukee for next summer.
